At Bimars we feel that the recent wave of enthusiasm for an ill-judged consumerism which undoubtedly compromised the quality of the individual product has finally died down. Now, more than ever before, we feel confident in the knowledge that we are offering the best possible product to those discerning few who still believe in a quality piece of furniture crafted by Italian cabinet-makers.
Our traditions follow in the wake of the ancient Venetian workshops where the local joiners ("marangoni") passed on a noble respect for wood and a love for creating individually crafted pieces.
At Bimars the essential production phases have varied little with time so we still experience that fantastic atmosphere of a time when the Venetian Doges were the customers and they insisted on meticulously supervising every aspect of production. The various phases, including application of the lacquers, placing of the inlays, carving of the prized woods, selection of the woods, and the wax finish prepared with the earth pigments and alchemy of the time, are today carried out by Bimars master craftsmen in collaboration with highly qualified designers, who not only respect, but also acknowledge the quality of the ancient designs that transform their products into real works of art.
Despite the increased volume of requests for our products from a market that has extended to international levels, at Bimars we hold fast to our desire to create a product that will add elegance and style to the most prestigious environments.
